Meliva Anesthesia Landstuhl is a specialized practice for anesthesiology and pain therapy located in the Landstuhl Health Center. Under the medical direction of Tonio Schirra and the specialists Andrea Runck, Dr. med. Hossein Raahimi, and Dr. med. Sophia Gehrig-Raahimi, the team cares for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring the greatest possible safety and comfort.

The practice offers a comprehensive range of modern anesthesia procedures, individually tailored to each procedure and every patient. Whether it’s a gentle twilight sleep (analgosedation) for anxious patients or a classic general anesthesia, the experienced team ensures a gentle, pain-free treatment. Throughout the entire procedure, all vital bodily functions are continuously monitored (perioperative standby) to provide a sense of security at all times.

All common forms of general anesthesia are available—from general and intubation anesthesia to mask anesthesia and gentle laryngeal mask anesthesia. In addition, regional and local anesthesia methods are performed, including spinal procedures like spinal and epidural anesthesia, as well as peripheral plexus anesthesia, where specific individual nerves are numbed.

Another focus is on special pain therapy for patients with chronic pain. The goal is to provide long-term relief from symptoms, promote mobility, and sustainably improve quality of life.
